Let’s say a customer problem occurs,  go ahead get one in mind.  Now,  does the person talking with your customer need to communicate with someone else in your organization? If you said, “yes” that conversation begins a transaction.  One person talks to another (or it could be a team of people)  about the customer problem–the time it takes to solve this problem is the “transaction”. This transaction has a direct cost to y our bottom line. If your people don’t communicate effectively the transaction takes longer and your customer could leave unhappy. You don’t want that.
